EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS/DESIRED
1. Ten years experience in the operation and maintenance of power plants.
2. PRB coal experience with a pulverized coal boiler and associated equipment.
3. Five years supervisory experience.
4. Experience in electrical systems operations and maintenance.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. Ability to read and interpret plant drawings and procedures.
7. Environmental experience utilizing SCR, SDA and baghouse.
8. Environmental reporting experience.
9. Experience with PLC’s or similar equipment.
10. Instrumentation experience.
11. Development and maintenance of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
12. Ability to assess conditions and report overall plant status.
13. Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment.
14. Operations and maintenance labor relations management experience.
15. Advanced computer skills, including word processing.
16. Familiarity with MS Windows, MS Office Suite, including MS Word, MS Access and Excel.
17. High school diploma or equivalent required.
18. College education desired.
19. First Aid/CPR Training desired.
20. Valid driver’s license required.
21. Valid US passport or ability to obtain.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintenance Manager working for Hardin Generating Plant under Heorot Power Management is responsible for the safety and health of those employees who work under their supervision. Employee safety must be the first consideration at the beginning of each workday and at the beginning of each work
assignment. This commitment to employee safety is the primary responsibility of the Maintenance Manager. Close adherence and a sustained, dedicated commitment to CEM safety guidelines is a pre-requisite for employee advancement to any Maintenance Manager position. Annual performance evaluations for the Maintenance Manager will include an evaluation of that person’s safety commitment and performance.
2. Ensure maintenance assignments are proceeding as scheduled.
3. Follow rules and procedures to operate facilities.
4. Assure that all regulatory requirements are met.
5. Resolve problems as they occur.
6. Coordinate and cooperate with utility inspections.
7. Coordinate employee training programs as assigned.
8. Assist in evaluations.
9. Assist with project documentation control.
10. Direct supervision of Maintenance personnel.
11. Other supervisory responsibilities may be assigned.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
