Receiving and Inventory Control Specialist
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st shift, (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications).

Position Summary
The Receiving and Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for facilitating inventory accuracy and availability. This includes assisting the receiving department with receiving raw materials as well as managing cycle counting and control of expired materials.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform cycle counts of materials, by lot number and location, including data entry. The primary focus is raw materials but may also include Finished Goods.
- Must prioritize which items to cycle count based on priority list and recent count history.
- Update expiration dates and relabel materials based on recertification report from R&D.
- Assist the Receiving Department with material and non-raw material receipts and labelling of raw materials.
- Perform verification and signoff on tanker unloading.
- Participate in the material movement process to ensure inventory accuracy, including monitoring Distribution Orders, Transport Tasks, and replenishment of materials in the Large Batch and CARC areas.
- Responsible for adherence to safety rules, promoting safe work practices. Responsible for stopping and reporting any safety violations when observed throughout the facility.
- As part of the housekeeping procedures, the employee may be involved with the disposal of hazardous waste. The initial training of how to properly dispose of hazardous waste will be performed by the Environmental and Safety department or the department supervisor. Annual training of the same will be performed by the EHS department.
- Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
- Preferred education level: a high school diploma and/or GED. It is desirable for the employee to possess additional specific related training.
- Preferred experience level: Two to four years of experience in manufacturing environment, preferably chemicals or coatings, or a warehouse environment with inventory control responsibility.
Skills and Abilities
- Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook), ERP system, and other office machinery.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner.
- Forklift certification is strongly preferred.
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
- Clean work habits and skill in handling large volumes of liquid raw materials.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to communicate verbally and audibly in a manufacturing or operational setting.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and move throughout the work area.
- Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, manipulate, and control objects, tools, or equipment.
- Required to sit, balance, stoop, and occasionally reach above shoulder level.
- Occasional operation of machinery using foot controls
- May be required to climb, balance, and reach overhead as part of job duties.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 65 lbs.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Safety shoes, safety glasses, and flame-retardant uniforms or lab coats are required in production areas.
- Respirators and ear plugs are required for specific production processes.
