Warehouse/CDL Delivery Driver
Overview
One of the premier Mechanical and Roofing contractors in Midwest is looking to add a Warehouse/Delivery Driver. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, Warehouse/Delivery Driver will be responsible for properly loading and unloading trucks and trailers; delivery and pickup of materials to and from jobsites; assisting with inventory of materials, tools and safety equipment. Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly. Need good written and verbal skills. Powered industrial forklift experience a plus. Experience with Roofing materials is a plus. Minor equipment maintenance is a plus.
Major Responsibilities:
§ Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
§ Load and unload trucks
§ Present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded.
§ Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment
§ Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates
§ Performing General Physical Activities
§ Documenting/Recording Information
§ Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material
Skills:
§ Must be a team player. Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and effective communication skills are also required with a desire and ability to work and communicate as a team across all departments.
§ Must have excellent communication skills as this position entails having constant communications with Vendors, Suppliers, Project Managers, company personnel
§ Working knowledge of roofing materials
§ Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities for on-time completion
§ Must be highly organized, able to prioritize, set and keep deadlines, change direction quickly, and adapt to various work environments easily
§ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
§ Must be adaptable and flexible.
§ Strong work ethic
§ Excellent follow-up skills
Credentials required:
§ Current and Valid CDL Class A (If do not currently have, required to obtain within first 60 days of employment)
o Commercial Class A driver’s license with following endorsements- Passenger (Class A, B & C)
§ Powered Industrial Forklift Training
§ Ability to lift 50 lbs.
§ Restrictions that will prevent an applicant from being considered:

- Daylight Only
- CMV Without Airbrakes
Computer Skills:
§ Basic computer skills (Email, word processing)
Education:
§ High School or equivalent required
