ULTRASOUND TECH II
Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Tech II provides patient care services utilizing ultrasound equipment to provide ultrasound/vascular services that include abdominal and OB/GYN and, all venous exams in compliance with regulatory requirements; also responsible for image and data generation for physician evaluation, teaching and coaching ultrasound students, patient transport and schedule coordination and assisting with administrative support of the department.
Licensure and Certification:
- ARDMS or CCI in one modality
- Experienced in all general ultrasound and all venous exams
- Current BLS provider card
Education:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
Experience:
- Experience in all general ultrasound and venous exams.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to follow the various protocols necessary for general ultrasounds.
- Ability to perform these exams: abdominal, OB, GYN, small parts and assist in invasive procedures as directed by hospital protocols
- Ability to perform all venous exams
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to work flexible schedules and take call as needed
- Strong organizational skills
- Problem solving skills
- Basic computer skills
Salary : $43 - $68
