Pay Range: CLINICAL LAB SCIENTIST - $47.98 to $76.76

Job Summary

Under the supervision of a Laboratory Supervisor, the Clinical Lab Scientist is responsible for

specimen processing, test performance test result reporting, clerical and patient care support

services with a high level of accuracy, precision and timeliness while ensuring compliance with

departmental and regulatory agency standards.

Licensure And Certification

• Current California CLS License
  
  

Education

• BS/BA
  
  

Experience

• 1-2 years previous experience preferred
  
  

Knowledge And Skills

• CLS training in a USA program or if foreign trained, experience in a hospital based laboratory located in the USA.
• Ability to work well within a team environment.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and professionally in English as well as follow verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work flexible shifts

Physical Demands – Clerical/Administrative Non-Patient Care

• Frequent sitting and standing/walking with frequent position change.
• Continuous use of bilateral upper extremities in fine motor activities requiring fingering, grasping, and forward reaching between waist and chest level.
• Occasional/intermittent reaching at or above shoulder level.
• Occasional/intermittent bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling, twisting, and climbing.
• Occasional/intermittent lifting and carrying objects/equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
