HJF is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow is Responsible for initiating and carrying out research projects in collaboration with a research team. Pursuits research along a focused line of inquiry and has a manuscript in development.
This position will be in support of Dr. Kathleen Pratt's lab in the Dept of Medicine located at The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU, https://www.usuhs.edu/) in Bethesda, Maryland. Research in this interdisciplinary lab focuses on proteins and mechanisms of hemostasis, including recently launched studies generating and characterizing iPSC-derived platelets engineered to express supraphysiological levels of clotting or fibrinolytic factors, for potential translation as agents for trauma resuscitation. We are seeking candidates with strong research interests in blood coagulation, platelet and endothelial cell biology, and advanced cell imaging projects.
