Job Description

Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty : Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Job Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 1900-0730

Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week

Experience : Minimum 2 years of ICU experience; previous experience in a trauma level 2 facility preferred

License : Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing

Certifications : BLS and ACLS required

Must-Have : Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred

Job Description :

• Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and their families.
• Effectively communicate pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team.
• Participate in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensure implementation of solutions.
• Demonstrate clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit or department.
• Perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
