GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator.

Location: Detroit
Hours: Day Shift- Will work about three days a week. No Weekends
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Bachelor Degree preferred.
Minimum of one-year ambulatory experience
Successful completion of HFMG Pharmacology test.
Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel.
Preferred experience in Plastics and Reconstruction.
Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
Procedural experience preferred
Ability to work with the LGBTQ community.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
Current BLS or ACLS per HFHS policy.
