GENERAL SUMMARY:
- Under the direction of the Supervisor of Plant Operations assist in overseeing engineering personnel in the safe and efficient operation of engineering functions. Assists staff in the various repairs and lend guidance/ support.
- Coordinates preventive maintenance on all HVAC and mechanical equipment, interface with patients, co-workers and other licensed engineering personnel in the maintenance of various HFHS buildings.
- Obtain the training required for existing and new equipment and participate in Quality Improvement Teams.
- Coordinate work with all facilities management/ Site Administrators and work with other contractors as needed.
- Coordinate shutdowns and order/expedite repairs and maintenance.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Requires one or more of the following: First Class Refrigeration Operator License; Third Class Stationary Engineers license; Boiler or refrigeration license; Journeyman electrical, mechanical contractor, plumber from State of Michigan, City of Detroit or Dearborn (AHJ Area having jurisdiction).
- Department of Natural Resources 5B Microbial Pest Mgt Certification preferred.
