Department: Physical Therapy- Novi
Contingent Hours: Minimum requirement of two weekend shifts per month, two Holidays per year, two hard-to-fill days per year. Above these minimum requirements, looking for person with weekday availability throughout the year to cover for LOAs, CTO and respite days for full time staff.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
Responsibilities:
- Performs initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition.
- Establishes, revises and evaluates a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family.
- Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.
- Oversees activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Physical Therapist bachelor degree with 5 years of experience OR Master’s/Doctorate degree acquired from a Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited program
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Current State of Michigan licensure. Will consider those who will be licensed within 30 days of applying.
- Current CPR certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire)
