Manages the daily operations of pharmacy services.

PRINCPLE DUTIES & RESPONSBILITIES:
- Develops and implements performance improvement activities to include medication safety, medication use evaluation and Pharmacoeconomics.
- Conducts competency assessments and coordinates the training and development of pharmacists, pharmacy residents and pharmacy students.
- Develops and manages departmental budget to promote Pharmacoeconomics.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations. Also serves on various committees.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy required.
- 3 years of hospital experience required.
- 1 year of leadership or management experience required.
- Compounding oversight experience preferred USP797, USP 795 and USP 800.
Demonstration of increasing responsibility / oversight in past roles preferred.
- Advanced degree or Master's degree preferred.
- PGY1 Residency training or equivalent experience preferred.
2-3 years of leadership experience preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Pharmacist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. - Board certification in Oncology or Sterile Compounding preferred
