GENERAL SUMMARY:
Organizes and coordinates performance improvement program activities and workflow.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services and systems/ performance measures.
- Researches, develops/acquires and implements improvement systems, methodologies and tools to improve operations.
- Collaborates with Leaders to develop and revise screening indicators.
- Provides on-site training and follow-up for performance improvement teams.
- Performs regulatory documentation preparation, submission, and maintenance. Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Assists in policy, procedure and contract review process. Coordinates quality improvement initiatives.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
- Certification specializing in Lean Healthcare Management preferred.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable
- Previous experience working in a surgical services setting or surgical floor.
- Previous 3-5 years of experience in a hospital setting.
- RN preferred.
- Experience with BCBS CQIs (MSQC), quality, data analysis and process improvement a plus.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft office, comfortable presenting data to hospital leadership.
