NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECHNOLOGIST - IMAGING - PRN / CONTINGENT - DAY SHIFT
Schedule: Contingent/PRN Days - Varying days between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM
General Summary:
- Under the direction of a Radiologist, specializes in the performance of procedures using various isotopes for the evaluation of pathological entities as prescribed by a physician.
- Performs related functions according to department protocols.
- Utilizes independent judgment in determining appropriate imaging techniques, patient positioning, and safety practices.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
- Must be registered (or registry eligible) in Nuclear Medicine by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and/or The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- If registry eligible, registry must be obtained within 12 months of date of hire.
- Failure to obtain registry within designated timeframe will result in termination of the Nuclear Medicine Technologist position.
- Must maintain required hours of continued medical education.
- Healthcare Provider certification required (BCLS).
