Status: Full-Time | Days
Schedule: 4, 10-Hour Shifts with Rotating Day Off.
Setting: 70% Outpatient, 30% Inpatient – 100% Adult

Position Overview:
Henry Ford Health System is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team at Henry Ford Warren. This role focuses on supporting procedural cardiology care, including managing pre- and post-procedure orders, admission and transfer orders, and assisting with both cardiology and cardiothoracic consults. This is an excellent opportunity for an APP looking to grow in a fast-paced, procedural environment while working closely with cardiology patients and a collaborative care team. Preferred candidates will have experience in ICU, emergency medicine, or cardiac care, with additional exposure to the cath lab, cardiology, or open-heart settings considered a plus.
Key Responsibilities
· Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and illnesses
· Manage bloodborne pathogen exposures and vaccination programs
· Perform medical surveillance and respirator fit testing
· Ensure compliance with OSHA, MIOSHA, and CDC guidelines

Qualifications:
- Experience in ICU and/or ED and/or Cardiac, preferred.
- Cath Lab, Cardiology, Open Heart experience, required.
- NP or PA graduate from an accredited program
- Current Michigan licensure
- National certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA)
- BLS required; ACLS required (or obtained after hire)
Education & Training
· Nurse Practitioner (NP): Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)
· Physician Assistant (PA): Completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
Licensure
· Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Michigan
Certification
· NP: National certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan (e.g., ANCC, AANP)
· PA: Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Required Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required (may be obtained after hire)
DEA / Controlled Substance Licensure
- PA: DEA and Michigan Controlled Substance License (CSL) required through credentialing
- NP: DEA registration required through credentialing; NPs do not hold a Michigan CSL and will use their Michigan license number during the application process
