What are the responsibilities and job description for the Department Secretary Urgent Care Part Time/9a-9p weekdays, 11a-5p weekends, every 3rd weekend position at Henry County Hospital?
Responsibilities: A Department Secretary is responsible for greeting and monitoring the in-flow and out-flows of patients in the Urgent Care. This position enters all admissions and discharges, verifies insurance information, collects payments and processes all department changes related to patient demographic and insurance information needed to bill claims in a timely manner. General office duties including answering phones, mail and assembling patient charts.
Qualifications: GED or High school diploma required. Two years post high school training in secretarial sciences, business, or management and prior work in data entry and medical office secretarial preferred.
