Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting Animal Control Officers with clerical and administrative tasks
- Preparing, submitting, and filing departmental reports
- Importing and maintaining accurate records in agency databases
- Assisting in the adoption process and facilitating the reunification of lost animals with their owners
- Ensuring completion and submission of all required documentation
- Participating in the daily cleaning, care, and upkeep of the shelter facility
- Must possess strong organizational and communication skills
- Must be proficient with basic computer systems and data entry
- Prior experience in animal care or shelter management is preferred
- Successful completion of a recognized Shelter Management School is required (post-hire)
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Starting Salary: $48,475 annually (effective July 1)
