What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transporter/Aide position at Henry Community Health?
Responsibilities
- Works under general supervision in transporting patients from the nursing unit to the Imaging Department for necessary examinations.
- Lifts or transfers patients to carts or wheelchairs (may assist Radiologic Tech in transferring or lifting patients onto exam tables).
- Attends to the needs of the patient while in the Imaging Department.
- Assists in the file room and darkroom as needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and record data well enough to follow instructions.
- Knowledge of basic department procedures which is normally acquired through completion of an elementary (8 grades) education.
- Two weeks on-the-job training is required prior to assuming full responsibilities.

- Full-Time - 7A-4P - Rotating 9 days on and 5 days off - Rotating weekends 8A-1P
