What are the responsibilities and job description for the Central Sterile Tech position at Henry Community Health?
Responsibilities
- Works under general supervision in sterilizing and preparing equipment, receiving and decontamination of equipment, and transporting of surgical patients according to specific procedures.
- Maintains sterilized equipment and ensures adequate supplies are available on a daily bases.
- Maintains logs of sterilizing equipment and freezer logs for tissue, equipment tracking logs, and liaison for supply and equipment vendor representatives.
Qualifications
- Requires the ability to read and write well enough to follow specific directions in the use of a variety of medical equipment and performing specific procedures as well as the ability to effectively deal with people
- Requires completion of a high school education or equivalent
- Prefer previous experience
