Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Waukegan, IL. This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for leading projects from feasibility through post-launch, ensuring clear scope, strong cross-functional alignment, and on-time execution.
This role serves as the central point of accountability for project progression, driving alignment across Sales, Commercialization, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain. The Project Manager will oversee project planning, Stage Gate progression, risk management, and communication to ensure successful execution and seamless transition into commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycle from feasibility through post-launch
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and success criteria
- Own and manage Stage Gate process, ensuring readiness and clear decision-making
- Identify risks, dependencies, and constraints; drive mitigation plans
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and accountability
- Communicate project status, timelines, and risks to stakeholders and customers
- Partner with Commercialization to ensure smooth transition into execution
- Drive continuous improvement in project processes and tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Food Science, or related field
- 5 years of project management experience, preferably in manufacturing or food industry
- Experience managing cross-functional projects from concept through commercialization
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operational environments (GMP/HACCP a plus)
- Experience with Stage Gate or phased project management approaches
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
