Job Summary And Qualifications
As a Certified Lead Sterile Processing Technician, you will be an invaluable safety expert and trusted leader on our team. You will also share your knowledge and guide your colleagues, helping create a safe, efficient environment where your team can thrive and where patients’ lives are improved every day.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning, inspecting, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments and trays to ensure every tool works properly and is ready for patient care
- Operating and maintaining sterilization equipment, while keeping detailed records of sterilization cycles, safety checks, and quality standards
- Preparing surgical sets and case carts by reviewing daily schedules and gathering the right instruments and supplies for each procedure
- Managing inventory, organizing supplies in OR storage areas, and working closely with the surgical team to help keep surgeries run smoothly and on time
- Leading and training the Sterile Processing team, sharing updates on new equipment and processes, and setting a positive example to support a safe, high-quality environment where teamwork thrives
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- 3 years’ experience in Central Sterile required and previous sterile processing leadership experience is preferred
- Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through IAHSCMM required
- Graduate of Sterile Processing training program is preferred
- Possess the ability to work Nights, 11p - 7:30a, Monday- Friday and rotating weekends
