Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment in our mining facility. The successful candidate will manage equipment repair and preventative maintenance (PM) programs, establish maintenance priorities, and ensure the efficient operation of all mechanical systems. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise Maintenance Activities : Manage and supervise all mechanical maintenance activities, including the repair and preventative maintenance of underground mining equipment.
• Establish Priorities : Determine maintenance priorities based on equipment criticality, production schedules, and safety considerations.
• Equipment Repair and PMs : Oversee the repair and maintenance of a wide range of mechanical equipment, including conveyors, crushers, drills, and other mining machinery.
• Safety Compliance : Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety among the maintenance team.
• Team Management : Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Inventory Management : Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability of critical components and minimize downtime.
• Documentation : Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and PM schedules.
• Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and increased equipment reliability.
• Other duties as assigned.
