What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Quality Engineer position at Henniges Automotive?
Highlights of the Position:
Quality Engineer leads quality initiatives to ensure compliance, maintenance, and continuous improvement in accordance with engineering specifications, Quality System requirements, and continuous improvement criteria.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary site contact for customer quality concerns and complaint resolution.
- Maintain the response and documentation of customer concerns (QRs, SPPS, SCAR’s, etc)
- Conduct structured root cause investigations utilizing methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, A3, Fishbone Analysis, and Reverse FMEA’s.
- Partner closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to improve process capability and product quality.
- Generate, prepare, and submit PPAPs to customers.
- Create and Maintain Control Plans and controlled documentation.
- Actively participate in the PFMEA process.
- Ensure compliance with quality system according to ISO / IAFT.
- Serve as a Quality Coach and resource to supervisors, managers, and employees across the organization.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum:
· Knowledge/skills normally acquired through the completion of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Preferred:
· Chemical or Industrial Engineering and/or CQE Certified.
· Knowledge of AIAG Core Tools, CAPA methodologies, Automotive Gage Standards and GD&T, ISO9001 and IAFT16949; ISO 14001.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
