Job Summary
The Industrial Engineer position located in Frederick, Oklahoma provides technical support for manufacturing department in plant facilities. Responsible for working with a team to improve efficiency, reduce scrap, improve quality, and ensure safety.
Salaried Position
**STARTING SALARY $60k- $70k (depending on experience)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Control of packaging specifications
- Evaluate process efficiency
- Support continuous improvement activities
- Support site on new engineering projects
- Estimate production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of production design changes on expenditures for management review, action, and control
- Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities
- Complete manufacturing operation time studies
- Gather manufacturing data and complete customer documentation
- Manage plant layout and create cell layouts for program launches and continuous improvement activities
- Update manufacturing work instructions
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Proficient verbal, written and presentation skills; communicate clearly, with credibility and confidence
- Consulting and influencing skills consistent with the ability to build relationships and influence parties; may include getting parties to embrace changing expectations and initiatives
- Intermediate-to-advanced analytical and project management skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills consistent with the ability to identify key issues from a broad range of alternatives and recommend optimal solutions for various situations.
- Ability to develop / coordinate cross-functional work groups and projects, yielding optimal outcomes.
- Thorough knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, practices, and challenges.
- Ability to apply project planning, implementation, and/or continuous improvement principles to affect tangible, positive outcomes.
- Competent in multi-tasking (i.e., the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, issues or projects that may include high-visibility initiatives and require innovation, teamwork and planning).
- Proficiency in the following software applications: Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook and Computer Aided Design applications, sufficient to apply and /or support the application with minimal instruction or guidance; this level of proficiency is typically attainable through three plus years of substantive experience with the applications.
- Ability to work in a team and/or matrixed structure, supporting multiple clients.
- Balances multiple demands from superiors, team members, and/or peers in a positive and even handed fashion; displays a calm demeanor under pressure. Working knowledge of financial and economic analysis, project management, risk management.
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and develop optimal recommendations and solutions.
- Deals effectively with resistance; takes positive steps to avoid the recurrence of errors through constructive critique.
Education / Experience:
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Minimum: Knowledge and skills typically acquired through three (3) to five (5) years' experience in engineering and/or automotive manufacturing processes.

Occasional travel manufacturing facilities, <5%
