Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, providing knowledgeable product demonstrations when appropriate
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Manage cash register operations, including balancing the cash drawer at the start and end of shifts
- Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales volume
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store displays are attractive and well-maintained
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, store policies, and promotions using clear communication skills
- Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling appointments
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key!
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer needs
- Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math for handling transactions accurately
- Experience supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not mandatory; leadership qualities are appreciated
