Role Description
Henneman Engineering is seeking a full-time Structural Engineer to join our team on-site at our Champaign, IL location. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for performing structural analysis, calculations, and design for a variety of projects. Additional responsibilities include the preparation of detailed engineering drawings using computer-aided design (AutoCAD and/or Revit) software, writing and reviewing technical specifications, assessing project requirements, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to execute quality designs that meet safety and sustainability standards while adhering to project deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Structural Engineering principles
- Strong skills in Structural Analysis and Calculations
- Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and design standards
- Experience with CAD software and related tools
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- 4 years engineering experience, consulting engineering experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Structural concentration, or a related discipline, Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred
- Registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or ability to obtain registration within 6 months, Structural Engineer (SE) license or Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred
Salary and Benefits
- Salary commensurate with skills and experience: $70,000-$100,000
- Benefits typical of industry including: 8 paid holidays, 3 weeks (15 days) of accrued paid time off per year, health insurance, disability and life insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and 401K program
