Responsibilities
- Clear snow and ice from designated outdoor surfaces using shovels, snow blowers, and other manual or power tools
- Apply salt, sand, or de-icing agents to prevent ice buildup and enhance traction
- Monitor weather conditions to anticipate snow accumulation and respond promptly
- Maintain safety protocols by wearing appropriate protective gear and following proper procedures during snow removal activities
- Inspect walkways, stairs, ramps, and parking areas regularly to identify hazards and address them swiftly
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding work progress and safety concerns
Skills
- Strong outdoor work experience in winter conditions with the ability to work in cold temperatures for extended periods
- Mechanical knowledge of hand tools, power tools, snow blowers, and other groundskeeping equipment
