Duties
- Perform precise wheel alignments using advanced alignment equipment, ensuring vehicles meet safety and performance standards.
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify issues related to suspension, steering, and drivetrain components.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to diagnose complex automotive electrical systems and mechanical problems.
- Repair or replace suspension components such as shocks, struts, control arms, and bushings to improve ride quality and handling.
- Service tires, perform tire rotations, balance wheels, and execute brake repairs to maintain vehicle safety.
- Diagnose issues related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and calibrate sensors as needed for optimal operation.
- Perform oil changes, transmission service, and general vehicle maintenance to support overall vehicle health.
- Use power tools and hand tools effectively while adhering to safety protocols during repairs.
- Collaborate with team members on auto body repairs or welding tasks when necessary for comprehensive vehicle service.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed using auto estimating software and ensure all work complies with manufacturer guidelines.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or equivalent automotive service background is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with diesel engines, powertrain components, transmissions, and oil change procedures.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience working with ADAS calibration, air brake systems, and suspension alignment is desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive electrical systems combined with proficiency in using diagnostic tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
