The Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump is looking for an associate who is experienced in banquet set-up and has a flair for hospitality to join us as a Banquet Houseperson Supervisor.

Position Summary
The Banquet Houseperson Supervisor leads the banquet team assigned to banquet/meeting spaces and public areas to ensure rooms are set, cleaned, stocked, and turned according to banquet event orders (BEOs), brand standards, and safety guidelines. This role partners closely with Banquets, Sales and Engineering to deliver spotless venues, efficient turnovers, and exceptional guest service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspect, clean, and stage banquet/meeting rooms, pre-function, back-of-house corridors, restrooms, and public areas to brand standards.
- Verify room sets (tables, chairs, linens, skirting, dance floors, staging) per Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and correct deficiencies immediately.
- Coordinate final walk-throughs with Banquet Captain/Manager prior to event start.
- Train, coach, and supervise housepersons assigned to banquet areas.
- Conduct opening shift huddles, safety talks, and mid-shift quality checks; complete end-of-shift reports.
- Ensure chemical use, dilution, and equipment handling meet brand and OSHA standards.
- Manage par levels and rotation of linens, skirting, chair covers, amenities, and paper goods.
- Enforce safe handling of chemicals, ladders, and floor care equipment; place proper wet-floor/area closed signage.
- Submit and follow up on work orders (lighting, HVAC, carpet, walls, AV cabling covers, trip hazards) with Engineering
- Respond to in-event requests (spills, restroom refresh, trash pulls, temperature checks) with urgency and professionalism.

Qualifications
Experience: 1–2 years houseperson experience (banquet or housekeeping) required; prior lead/supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to read BEOs, floor plans, and room set diagrams; strong time management for tight turnovers.
- Basic computer proficiency (property management system, email, spreadsheets helpful).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Physical & Schedule Requirements:
- Frequently stand/walk for extended periods; lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs (e.g., banquet tables, linen bins, vacuums); frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and ladder use.
- Flexible availability including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on event schedule; overtime during peak periods may be required.
