What are the responsibilities and job description for the Henley High School Assistant Girls Wrestling Coach position at Henley High School?
The individual who is selected will be expected to obtain all training and coaching certifications required by the Klamath County School District and Oregon School Activities Association. Contact the school Athletic Director for further questions on requirements.
The duties are as follows:
* Instructing players on rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
*Organizes and directs individual and small group practices activities/exercises.
*Determines game strategy.
*Supervises athletes during competition and practices.
*Follows established procedures in the event of an athlete's injury.
*Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators.
*Maintains the equipment and facilities and assumes responsibility for the security.
*Distributes equipment, supplies, and uniforms to students.
*Performs support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data cards, and other related records.
*Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
*Reports directly to the athletic director and school principal.
*Develops lines of communication and support between youth programs.
*Thorough understanding and application of district, league and state policies and procedures pertaining to athletics.
