YOUR ROLE
- Implement and maintain inventory strategies for all finished goods by regular review and optimization of inventory parameters and levels (e.g. cycle time, safety stock, ABC categorization)
- Consultation with Production Schedulers regarding availability of production lines and approval of downtime at manufacturing sites.
- Place orders upon Manufacturing based upon agreed lead time and capacity availability.
- Set up inventory targets and monitor actual inventory levels vs. targets.
- Identify and manage potential inventory obsolescence to minimize write-offs.
- Review out of stock situations, shortage of supply, or allocation situations and recommend mitigating actions.
- Manage production planning related master data in the supply chain systems, including safety stock targets, lead times, lot sizes, and capacity parameters - working in conjunction with Demand Planners and Schedulers.
- Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain issues/variances.
