What you´ll do
- Execute analytical testing on finished products using established methods and within expected time standards to prevent any laboratory associated downtime events.
- Check finished products for any defects incurred during the packaging process.
- Execute analytical testing on all in-process product using established methods and within expected time standards to prevent any laboratory associated downtime events.
- Execute analytical tests on in-coming raw materials prior to use in the process using established methods and within expected time standards to prevent any laboratory associated downtime events.
- Ensure prioritization of laboratory activities to support business need in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Provide coverage for the microbiological laboratory on nights and weekends by executing testing on liquid finished products, raw materials, and swabbing manufacturing equipment.
- Analyzes data and uses critical thinking to escalate, investigate, and resolve off-quality situations.
- Ensure confidence in testing results by adhering to the verification protocols and the standard program in the laboratory and using critical thinking to troubleshoot, solve, and escalate instrumentation issues as needed.
- Communicate, retest, release, reject, investigate, and/or escalate as necessary during off-quality situations.
- Perform hold and release of materials and finished product in the plant systems in a timely fashion to prevent off-quality materials from going to market.
- Maintain accurate and complete laboratory records, including test data/results in SAP, scan paperwork into SAP and file documentation into the appropriate locations, and monitor SAP for completion of inspections.
- Support the blending department by providing data to adjust out of spec product parameters.
- Provide testing, data, and inspection support for plant initiatives such as innovation and/or productivity
- Manage the retain sample program by ensuring appropriate collection, labeling, and storing of retain samples according to established procedures.
- Maintain and further hygiene initiatives in the QA Lab by keeping quality work areas clean and organized by adherence to cleaning schedule.
- Maintain an awareness of and use Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Maintain and further the laboratory onboarding program by assisting with training of associates in areas of expertise.
What makes you a good fit
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Post-secondary degree preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in science field preferred
- College coursework in chemistry is highly preferred
- Quality experience
- Experience with SAP, relevant ISO standards, and/or auditing preferred
- Excellent time management skills
- Detail Oriented and possess good follow-up skills.
- Excellent record keeping skills/documentation practices. · Understanding of GMP standards
- Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner which enables the employee to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
- Work with local management team to drive and improve quality, environmental, safety, and energy results across the site within area of responsibility and where required to meet ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 50001 standards.
- Must be well organized, thorough with all lab details and follow through with procedures as needed.
- Must perform lab tests in a timely manner and deliver concise results with good integrity.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must learn and adapt to Henkel processes and procedures.
- Must be able to do math computations and calculations.
- Must be willing to work overtime and holidays when necessary.
- Must be able to use a computer with working knowledge of basic office software. · Willingness and capability to solve problems within the lab and cross-functionally.
- Ability to balance changing priorities in a dynamic team environment.
- Must be willing to work on requested shift.
- Training may occur on different shifts (nights/days/weekends) than the application states and generally takes 1-2 months to complete.
- Must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety with investment in safety improvement activities.

The salary for this role is $40000.00 - $70000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
