What you´ll do
- The Packaging Innovation Responsible leads the development and implementation of packaging innovations for the Consumer and Construction Adhesives business in the Americas. This role sits at the intersection of design, technology, sustainability, and commercial performance — translating consumer insights and market requirements into differentiated packaging solutions that support product launches, brand equity, and sustainability commitments. The role collaborates closely with, Product Development, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure packaging innovations are technically sound, commercially viable, and compliant with regional regulations.
- Lead the Americas packaging innovation roadmap for Consumer and Construction Adhesives, identifying and developing differentiated packaging concepts that deliver consumer value and competitive advantage.
- Manage packaging development projects from ideation through commercialization, ensuring alignment with product launches and go-to-market plans.
- Evaluate and pilot new packaging technologies, materials, and formats — including sustainability-driven innovations (recyclability, material reduction, bio-based materials).
- Partner with Marketing to understand consumer and customer packaging needs, translating insights into functional and aesthetic packaging requirements.
- Work closely with global packaging teams and external suppliers to source, test, and qualify new packaging solutions.
- Ensure all packaging developments comply with applicable regional regulations (labeling, VOC, transport, recycling).
- Manage packaging project budgets, timelines, and KPIs, reporting progress to the Innovation Head and senior leadership.
- Support cost optimization and value engineering initiatives on existing packaging, in collaboration with Supply Chain and Procurement.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends, competitive benchmarks, and emerging packaging technologies relevant to adhesives and construction chemicals.
What makes you a good fit
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 4 years of experience in packaging development or packaging innovation, preferably in adhesives, sealants, construction chemicals, or consumer goods.
- Strong technical knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and packaging design principles.
- Experience with sustainability-focused packaging initiatives and familiarity with circular economy concepts.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for chemical product packaging in the Americas (US, Canada, Mexico).
- Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across functions.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus.

The salary for this role is $120,000.00 -$130,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
