Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in the fabrication and assembly of structural products.
- Analyze work orders and blueprints to determine materials, operations, and sequence of operations required.
- Requisition materials and ensure efficient use to meet production goals.
- Inspect work in progress and finished products to ensure they meet the highest quality standards.
- Perform welding tasks using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.
- Assemble parts by bolting and perform repairs by dismantling, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
- Operate shop cranes, forklifts, and other equipment as needed to support production.
- Follow and enforce company policies and quality assurance procedures.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in structural fabrication or a related field.
- Advanced welding capabilities, with qualifications in FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW.
- Ability to operate shop cranes and forklifts.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds with assistance and push/pull 50 pounds.
- Availability to work 2nd shift, starting at 4:00 PM, with the ability to work overtime as required.
