Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable clerk to support our growing business and better support our clientele. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the collection of outstanding invoices, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining strong relationships with clients
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
- Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files and contacts delinquent account holders to request payment.
- Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
- Perform accounts payable and general ledger maintenance.
- Respond to all inquiries regarding accounts payable from vendors, customers, and employees.
- Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts.
- Act as a liaison between Project Managers and Vendors.
- Requesting and tracking conditional/unconditional lien waivers from sub-contractors and vendors.
- Collaborates with the CFO to reconcile accounts receivable on a monthly basis.
- Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
- Relays changes of information to appropriate employees.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with Sage 100 contractor a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with AIA billing
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting preferred.
- At least two years of related experience is required.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
