Structural Engineer (PE/SE) – Illinois | 5 Years Experience

What You’ll Do
- Lead structural design for infrastructure and commercial/industrial projects
- Serve as Engineer of Record on select projects
- Coordinate directly with architects, contractors, and internal teams
- Produce and review calculations, drawings, and specs
- Handle RFIs, site visits, and construction support
- Mentor junior engineers – not just in structural tasks and without doing all their work
What You Bring
- PE / SE license in Illinois (or ability to obtain within X months)
- 5 years of structural design experience
- Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI
- Experience with tools like RAM, ETABS, RISA, SAP2000 (pick your weapon)
- Ability to communicate clearly and make decisions without overthinking
