Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation throughout our quartz manufacturing plant. This role is essential to ensuring a safe and efficient working environment by cleaning production areas, offices, restrooms, and maintaining waste disposal systems in accordance with company hygiene and safety standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize production areas, machinery exteriors, and equipment surfaces (non-operational).
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, especially in areas with quartz dust accumulation.
- Remove industrial waste, debris, and recyclable materials from workspaces.
- Clean restrooms, locker rooms, lunchrooms, and office areas.
- Use industrial cleaning supplies and equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, vacuums, pressure washers).
- Replenish cleaning supplies and report inventory needs to supervisor.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Assist in minor maintenance or cleaning-related facility tasks as needed.
- Report unsafe conditions, spills, or maintenance issues immediately.
Qualifications:
- Previous cleaning experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Basic understanding of safety and sanitation practices in an industrial environment.
- Ability to operate industrial cleaning machines.
- Physically fit: able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in dusty or hot conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or in a team.
- Willingness to wear protective gear and comply with safety procedures.
Physical Job Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy materials (50 lbs.), stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions and exposure to noise.
- Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures within the plant.
- May require working early morning, evening, or weekend shifts.
- Use of masks, gloves, and other PPE mandatory in certain areas.
