Manufacturing Engineering Technician II

Position Purpose

Support Manufacturing Engineer with project responsibilities. Design, create drawings, and build production/prototype tooling. This will include maintenance responsibilities for repairing and rebuilding equipment.

Essential Functions

• Assemble automated equipment, manual fixtures, and tooling.
• Responsible for repairing equipment and facilities in the Canton CBU facility.
• Create and build components from hand sketches, prints, or verbal instruction.
• Assist in the daily troubleshooting of robotic or tooling problems.
• Build, install, and debug electrical panels, enclosures, and equipment.
• Responsible for operations and skills outside of established procedures.
• Identify areas in which tooling, cleanliness, or operation sequences can be improved to increase throughput or product quality.
• Develop process documentation and systems to maintain equipment and facilities.
• Assist in the development of quality systems for new products and processes.
• Assist maintenance with plant/building operational upkeep.
  
  

Education and Training

• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience; associates degree in related field is highly desirable.
• Experience and demonstration of capability in Hendrickson manufacturing operation can offset degree preference.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Excellent demonstrated mechanical ability required.
• Ability to read and create blueprints.
• Robotic and/or PLC programming experience preferred.
• Electrical maintenance background preferred.
