Located just 30 minutes from Indianapolis in the growing and vibrant town of Plainfield, Hendricks Live! features:
A 600-seat performance theatre
A 900 sq ft event space with additional 600 sq ft terrace

The Opportunity
Hendricks Live! is seeking organized, dependable, and guest-focused Assistant House Managers to support front-of-house operations during performances and public events.
Working closely with the House Manager and Manager on Duty, Assistant House Managers help ensure performances run smoothly by supporting audience operations, front-of-house readiness, guest communication, and interdepartmental coordination throughout events.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hospitality, live entertainment, guest services, and fast-paced event environments.

Support front-of-house operations during performances and public events
Assist with communication and coordination between departments during performances and public events
Help create a welcoming, organized, and positive experience for patrons and guests
Support crowd management and life safety procedures during performances and public events
Help ensure performances and public events run smoothly and efficiently
What You’ll Do
Front-of-House Operations
Assist with front-of-house operations before, during, and after performances
Conduct pre-show building and lobby readiness checks
Assist with theater door operations and audience flow
Support pre-show, intermission, and guest announcements as assigned
Assist with real-time communication between front-of-house, back-of-house, and operational teams during performances
Coordinate with Box Office, Concessions, Security, Volunteers, and Back of House teams during performances
Assist with front-of-house opening and closing procedures
Assist with performance-related setups including tables, chairs, stanchions, and merchandise areas as assigned
Guest Experience & Hospitality
Support a friendly, professional, and guest-focused front-of-house environment
Assist guests with questions, accessibility needs, and wayfinding
Support safe and efficient audience ingress, intermission, and egress procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready lobby environment throughout events
Operational Support
Assist with directional signage and event communication materials
Monitor assigned public-facing areas for operational concerns and communicate issues as needed
Complete assigned sidework and operational tasks during downtime as needed
Support general front-of-house operations and event readiness throughout shifts
Ensure radios, signage, and operational materials are properly returned and stored following events

Qualifications
Ability to stand and move throughout event shifts
Ability to lift and move tables, chairs, stanchions, and operational equipment as needed
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules
Reliable transportation to and from Hendricks Live!
Experience working in team-oriented or guest-facing environments
Willingness to complete Crowd Management Certification following onboarding and assist with crowd management and life safety procedures during events
Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, events, theater operations, or related fields preferred
Schedule & Work Environment
Part-time, event-based scheduling
Primarily evenings and weekends
Physically active role requiring standing, lifting, and movement throughout shifts
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly: $20/hr
