The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations to include engagement on integrated program teams, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following

• Collect, analyze, and summarize cost information for products, services, or projects and convert to suggested sales price.
• Serve as accounting representative on integrated program teams. Attend weekly meetings and provide deliverables to the Program Manager.
• Prepare quotes and manage sales orders in the ERP system.
• Monitor actual costs versus estimated costs, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities including fixed asset management, balance sheet reconciliations, inventory variance analysis, project cost & revenue recognition and preparation of financial reports.
• Collaborate with operations and production teams to review processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support strategic decision-making.
• Conduct inventory analysis and physical inventory counts to ensure proper valuation and reconciliation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and optimization of the ERP system.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies.
• Prepare ad hoc reporting as requested.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• 3 years of experience in an accounting role at a manufacturing company or in combination with public accounting experience.
• Ability to thrive with multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, proficient in ERP systems and financial reporting applications (D365 F&O, and Power BI a plus).
• Experience interpreting technical drawings, BOMs, and familiarity with production and manufacturing processes and equipment desired.
