Job Summary
- Under the direction of the Director of Information Systems, oversees work order control, PM schedules and generation, parts purchase request, and equipment history records. Assists with staff training, in-services, policy and procedures, regulatory compliance and software data management. Establishes and maintains supporting technical literature, such as manufacturer’s literature, references standards, specifications and other documents necessary for supporting the Biomedical Program. Performs preventive maintenance, safety tests, incoming inspections, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration for all patient care equipment. Serves as an advisor to appropriate hospital committees. Demonstrates cost-effective decision making skills.
- Minimum Education
- Associates Degree in electronics / biomedical technology, or equivalent preferred, or successful completion of military BMET training.
- Minimum Work Experience
- 5 years of industry experience with at least 3 years hospital experience preferred.
- Required Licenses/Certifications
- Driver’s License
- Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) preferred, Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) preferred.
