What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder C position at Hendrick Manufacturing?
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under direct supervision, welds metal parts together.
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Performs simple, routine, and repetitive welding tasks.
- Uses standard procedures, tools and equipment.
- Welds components and parts from standard materials.
- Performs other duties as assigned by leader or supervisor.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
General knowledge of welding techniques, tools, equipment, and blueprint reading is preferred. Ability to read precision measuring tools is required. Skills may be gained through practical experience and/or on-the-job training.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequent climbing, bending, twisting and/or lifting approximately 55 pounds (and periodically heavier loads approximately 75 pounds) will be required. All welders must install 60 pounds spools of wire on own welding equipment, as necessary.
