What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Lead position at Hendrick Manufacturing?
Duties:
Primary responsibilities will be material handling, tool service for MP, and operating multiple machines within the MP track.
- Review all shop orders for tool and/or machine assignment.
- Assist operators and/or technicians in machine setup and troubleshoot.
- Provide expertise in departmental capabilities relative to customer requirements.
- Monitor equipment and schedule maintenance as required.
- Train new employees and arrange cross training of operators and/or technicians.
- Maintain daily production to meet customer requirements.
- Monitor adherence to safety procedures by all employees.
- Acts in a supervisory role when the departmental supervisor is not present.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of vocational training.
- Ability to pass a basic math skills assessment.
- Requires ability to read a ruler, set calipers, read a blueprint and micrometer.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to persuade others and encourage teamwork.
- Working knowledge of all departmental equipment including set up and troubleshooting.
- Five years as an operator and/or technician within applicable department with increasing responsibilities
- Excellent organizational skills
