What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary RN position at Hendrick Health?
- Registered Nurses deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process. Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Nurses effectively interact with patients and significant others; while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. Registered Nurses provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Due to the broad range of medical conditions they encounter; they must be well-versed in a large variety of health conditions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Education
- Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing (Diploma; AD)
- Minimum Work Experience
- No previous work experience
- Required Licenses/Certifications
- Registered Nurse
- CPR-BCLS
- ACLS required before completion of orientation
- ENPC and/or PALS prior to completion of unit orientation.
- NIHSS-prior to completion of unit orientation
- TNCC-within 18 months of hire.
- Required Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities
- Self-Initiative: active contributor to ED flow and throughput
- Sense of Urgency: provide safe; fast; effective care regardless of acuity or census
- Adaptability: the emergency department requires constant adjustment to meet acuity and volume intensity as well as situational adaptation
- Professional appearance and decorum at all times; the ED is the front door to the hospital
- Ability to handle confidential information
