Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Nursing with the daily operations of the nursing department.
- Support, supervise, and mentor nursing staff to promote quality resident care.
- Monitor resident care practices to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and facility policies.
- Participate in clinical assessments, care planning, documentation reviews, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, and coordination of nursing services.
- Respond to resident care concerns, incidents, and changes in condition in a timely manner.
- Promote infection prevention, resident safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, residents, and families.
- Assist with staff education, competency evaluations, and performance improvement.
- Participate in facility surveys, audits, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Provide leadership support during the Director of Nursing’s absence.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to facility needs outside regular working hours as required.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.
- Previous nursing leadership experience preferred; long-term care or skilled nursing experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal nursing facility regulations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead a team, prioritize responsibilities, and make sound clinical decisions.
- Commitment to resident dignity, safety, and quality of care.
- Ability to meet the requirements of the position, including day-shift scheduling and on-call responsibilities.
