Our client, an established law firm, is seeking a
Trust & Estate
Bookkeeper
to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll and conducting other tasks related to finance. This individual will be excellent at recording data and have an ability to produce clear financial reports.
Compensation: $85K - $115K OT

Responsibilities:
Estate & Trust Account Management
- Manage and reconcile checkbooks for estate and trust accounts; maintain accurate records of assets, income, expenses, and beneficiaries.
- Prepare and process checks for estate expenses, distributions, and other disbursements in coordination with attorneys.
- Track trust income and distributions, and assist with trust accountings and filings.
- Develop estate tax projections and estimate administration costs, including executor and attorney fees, in consultation with attorneys.
General Legal Support
- Draft basic correspondence and template-based legal documents.
- Assist with probate and Surrogate's Court filings and procedures.
- Conduct process-specific research (e.g., notarized documents for international use).
- Help develop and maintain internal processes for court, tax, and institutional forms, service of process, and electronic/physical filing of court documents.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of tax, trust, or estate bookkeeping experience in a law firm, accounting firm or family office.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree, or Paralegal Certificate required.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, delivering high-quality work to attorneys and clients.
- Proven ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments, independently and on a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and iManage Document Management System.
Salary : $85,000 - $115,000
