Position Overview: As an entry level mechanical designer at Henderson Engineers, you will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise to our six market various sectors, including Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue. Within each sector, we seamlessly integrate our engineering knowledge with the in-the-field experience of our sister company,Henderson Building Solutions, to deliver a client experience unlike any other in the industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Performs calculations and designs basic engineering systems in collaboration with experienced design staff.
- Prepares system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
- Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.
- Prepares or modifies reports, plans, and designs for projects.
- Supports business development or pursuit activities.
- Participates in client, company and/or industry events to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Occasionally visits job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
- Seeks to fill gaps in industry and/or discipline knowledge on a continuous basis.
- Maintains knowledge of common industry software, including Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office products.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of engineering (i.e.: mechanical, electrical, fire protection or architectural) and one year of experience, or 3 years of experience without degree required.
- Basic proficiency in engineering design: basic knowledge of the A&E industry, codes, design guides and standards.
- Proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam Revu software preferred.
- Understanding of the fundamental principles of HVAC design.
- Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Los Angeles Salary Range: $72,191 - $108,286
Denver Salary Range: $68,457 - $102,685
Philadelphia Salary Range: $68,457 - $102,685
