Accounting Advisory Senior Consultant
Location: Los Angeles, California (Remote)
Type: Full-Time
Henderson Drake is partnering with a growing advisory firm that continues to expand its Accounting Advisory team across the U.S. As demand for technical accounting and transaction-related support increases, the firm is looking to appoint an Accounting Advisory Senior Consultant to work alongside clients navigating complex financial and reporting challenges.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys applying technical accounting expertise in a consulting environment, working directly with client finance teams, and gaining exposure to a variety of high-impact projects. You'll play a key role in engagement delivery while continuing to develop your technical and commercial skillset.
What you will be doing
- Support accounting advisory engagements across technical accounting, financial reporting, and transaction-related projects
- Assist clients through acquisitions, divestitures, IPO readiness activities, and other strategic events
- Research accounting guidance and prepare technical accounting memoranda and supporting documentation
- Work directly with CFOs, Controllers, and finance teams to address accounting and reporting challenges
- Support the preparation and review of financial reporting deliverables
- Participate in client meetings, workshops, and project planning activities
- Contribute to engagement execution while maintaining high standards of quality and client service
What you will bring
- 3 years of experience within public accounting, accounting advisory, audit, or transaction services
- Active CPA licence or progress toward certification preferred
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience working on technical accounting or transaction-related engagements
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Desire to develop within a client-facing advisory environment
