Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly with aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans, while maintaining strict infection control standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Preffered candidates can also support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and managing patient communications efficiently. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy to effectively communicate with team members and explain procedures to patients.
Skills
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting and taking X-rays. Experience with Open Dental for managing medical documentation and records encouraged but not required. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations for safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality. Ability to operate medical imaging equipment including 3D scanners and X-ray machines accurately. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the dental team and provide clear instructions to patients. Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
