What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist - Lathe Operator position at HEN, LLC?
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist (Lathe Operator) responsible for the full machining process including machine setup, programming, operation, and quality inspection. The ideal candidate will have strong G-Code programming experience and the ability to machine parts to tight tolerances. Mazatrol conversational programming experience is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex setup and operation of CNC lathes
- Write, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs using G-Code or Mazatrol
- Machine and install chuck jaws and tooling in machine turrets
- Perform preventive maintenance on machine tools
- Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure quality standards
- Adjust offsets and coordinates to compensate for tool or material conditions
- Read and work from blueprints, process sheets, and setup cards
- Operate and manage multiple machines when required
Qualifications
- 3 years experience operating CNC lathes (setup and operation)
- Strong knowledge of G-Code programming
- Mazatrol conversational programming preferred
- Ability to read and interpret metric blueprints and process sheets
- Experience using precision measuring instruments and hand tools
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Technical machining certification or degree is a plus

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
