MUST HOLD A CURRENT PEACE OFFICER (POLICE OFFICER) LICENSE

As a Police Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining public safety and enforcing laws within the community. Your responsibilities will include patrolling designated areas, responding to emergency calls, conducting investigations, and engaging with the community to foster trust and cooperation. This position requires a strong commitment to public service, integrity, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.

Graduation from an accredited high school or a G.E.D. equivalency diploma.

Must have a valid Texas Drivers License with good driving record

Graduated from a accredited police academy

TCOLE Certified Basic Peace Officer License

Willing to and/ability to work all shifts including holidays, weekends. 12 Hour Shifts (6p-6a)

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect criminal activity.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents.
• Conduct thorough criminal investigations, including gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
• Write detailed reports documenting incidents, arrests, and investigations.
• Enforce laws and regulations while ensuring the rights of individuals are respected.
• Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing de-escalation techniques when necessary.
• Participate in community outreach programs to build relationships with residents.
• Maintain proficiency in driving skills for patrol duties.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of law enforcement principles and practices.
• Proficiency in report writing for accurate documentation of incidents.
• Competence in conflict management techniques to resolve disputes peacefully.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $63,664.00 - $70,364.00 per year
